A very fine oil painting on canvas of a reclining putti in a garden by Lucy M. Deere, niece of the tractor inventor and manufacturer John Deere,, and fieance of the artist John Mulvaney, who painted the best known rendition of Custer's Last Stand. At some point in their engagement they argued, and Mulvaney killed himself Lucy Deere was an accomplished artist in her own right.
Size: 15 3/4 by 19 1/2 by 3/4 inches.
Excellent, though dark.The frame is excellent and quite handsome.
