Beautifully etched Western Cutlery W49 Bowie Knife & Sheath, with gold filled decorations on the blade of a Frontiersman with bowie knife in hand preparing to fight a rampant Grizzly Bear in a mountain scene with the seal of the North American Hinting Club in gold in the background. Flanking the scene are gold ribbons with "200 YEARS OF THE BOWIE LEGACY 1796-1996." The blade is beautifully shaped, with bone-breaking sections along the back of the blade, and is stamped Western W49 U.S.A. The guard is gold plated brass, and the grip is highly polished wood. The crest of the Club is set into the grip. The knife is in a black leather sheath with "WESTERN" across the throat. Size: 14 1/2 inches long with a 9 1/4 inch blade.
