Straight blade Moro Kris Sword with scabbard. Grip is a tight jute string that at first appears like wire. Pommel is of the traditional Kakatua motif found on many Moro kris and barung swords. The separation in the 2 piece blade Is mostly straight across with a small bit at the very end that takes a sharp turn downward, dating this kris to the 19th century.

 

Dimensions: 24.5" long overall, 19.75" blade.

Condition

Scabbard has various dents, scrapes, chips, and a big piece missing from the top of the scabbard area that covers the guard. Blade has areas of oxidation. Please see photos.
