Matilda Lotz (1858-1923) Oil on Canvas Painting, Sheep with Dog, Pastoral Scene. Signed and dated ‘1888’ lower left. Lotz is one of California’s most well known animal portraitists. She attended the San Francisco School of Design, at which time she won numerous awards and graduated with honors.
