A framed vintage British railway travel poster for Norwich featuring artwork by English artist Claude Muncaster (1903-1974). It was published by the London & North Eastern Railway, printed by Gilmour & Dean Ltd, Glasgow, around the 1930s. The image depicts a horse-drawn cart and figures mingling along the cobbled roadway of Elm Hill, one of the city's historic medieval streets. The publisher and printer trademarks are located in the margins of the bottom two corners. The poster is housed in a simple wood finish frame.

Condition
Overall good vintage condition. Age appropriate toning across the paper. There is scattered staining around the margins, some of which appears to be ink spots from the printing process. However there are two liquid stains along the top margin, notably towards the right side of the image where it bled into the blue sky. No further damage or restoration revealed under blacklight. Minimal handling wear visible around the frame. Please see photos.
