A very fine pastel painting purportedly from an old Sacramento bar around 1912, of a young auburn haired woman reclining amid flowers, wearing a gauzy dress, her nipples visible through the cloth, a sensual expression on her face. The painting is signed "Mansfield 1912." The painting is in a gilt frame.
When the owners purchased this painting it was from a reputable Old Sacramento antiquities dealer who had discovered it rolled up in the attic of an older home in the area.
Size: 57 inches high and 39 inches wide.
Condition
Excellent, with some very minor losses of paint at the very bottom.
