Hand made bowie knife with natural stag hilt with a piece of rough turquoise set in the pommel, and hand finished bronze mounts, in a leather sheath the front part of which is covered with real snakeskin, probably from a diamondback rattler. There is a small companion knife also with natural stag hilt mounted on the front of the sheath. The blade is plain, but well-shaped, with a very long clipped point. The knife is somewhat crude, but shows skilled craftsmanship. The companion knife has USA stamped on the ricasso. Size: 16 1/4 inches long with a 10 inch blade.
