An unframed, but matted original ink wash drawing by American artist John Conacher (1876-1947). It depicts two acquaintances passing each other on the street. One recognizes the other asking, "Why Mister Jones! Aren't you in Florida?" The other responds, "No, no. I'm cruising in the Mediterranean on my yacht." It is signed by the artist in the bottom right corner of the image. On the back of the illustration, there is a LIFE magazine engraving order stamp.

Overall good vintage condition. Expected browning of the paper and handling wear across due to age. There is a 1.5-inch tear to the window mat's bottom margin, however it does not spread into the drawing. No further wear or restoration revealed under blacklight. Please see photos.
