Early 20th century, Luzon, Philippines. complete Ifugao bolo with the traditional shell belt. The shell belts were worn by high ranking warriors. The sword handle is wrapped with woven rattan bands that have a good patina from age and use.
The sword measures 21" overall with a 15.25" blade that is 2.75" wide at the tip and 1/4" thick at the bottom and 1/8" top back edge.
