He immigrated to California in 1868, painting in San Francisco until moving to Alameda in 1906 after the San Francisco fire destroyed his Montgomery Street studio. He then painted out of his Oakland Victorian home until his passing in 1937. He became famous for his portraits of Native Americans and also taught at the Royal Bavarian Institute of Art during travels to Europe.Dimensions: 19.75” x 17.75” framed. 11.5” x 9.5” sight.Pickup & Shipping: Free Sacramento pickup.
