The knife blade is either made from a very large file, or has been made to look as if it has, with cross-hatched pattern on one side, and the look of a rasp on the other, but beautifully shaped and polished. There is a brand on the ricasso resembling a C superimposed on a 2. The guard is copper. The sheath is also hand made, and is marked Harold J. Ryan Leather Works, Diamond, Illinois.
