A very fine etching by Giovanni Fottori, a very well-regarded Italian artist, (1825-1908) one of the leaders of the group of artists known as the Macchiaioli, a group of Italian artists similar to the early French Impressionists. This is an etching that has been hand colored, depictiong an elderly man, sitting on a bench. Signed by the artist. It is in a very interesting frame with a patterned finish.
