Two nicely framed miniature portraits of the Emperor Napoleon and his second wife, Marie Louise of Austria. The portraits are ovals, slightly convex, and are signed by different artists. They have gilt oval frames that are mounted in matching larger frames surrounded by mother of pearl, white ceramic and gilt brass. The miniatures themselves appear to be watercolors. The portrait of Napoleon is signed by Fairmont, and the Empress by Richter. Both are backed with paper from a text printed in German. 4 "x 5".
