Hand colored print of four couples courting, probably French Directory or Napoleonic period. The men are all wearing tailed frock coats, breeches and bicorne hats. The women are wearing Empire style gowns and elaborate bonnets, and are all pictured in outdoor settings. Under glass in a fine antique gilded frame. Size: 8 1/2 by 14 by 1 1/2 inches. Provenance: Estate of General Joseph McNarney. Processing and shipping in the Continental United States is $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
