The knife differs from the Western Bowie in having a straight brass guard, and a black plastic grip. The blade is stamped CASE XX U.S.A. The blade is long and well-shaped, with a star and the letters "tg" on the blade and the sheath. The sheath is black leather. All metal parts are chromed. There is a Scottish maker who signs his work with the initials TG, but this most likely is by another maker. Size: 16 inches long with an 11 3/8 inch blade. Interesting theater type knife with blade that may be cut down from a sword. The mounts are hammered bronze. The grip is wood shaped to the hand. The blade is roughly finished, probably intentionally, and is superbly balanced. The sheath is heavy brown leather. Size: 14 1/4 inches long with a 9 1/4 inch blade.
