Case XX bowie knife similar to W49, new in its original Jim Bowie box. The knife differs from the Western Bowie in having a straight brass guard, and a black plastic grip. The blade is stamped CASE XX U.S.A. Bowie, and comes with an attractive tan leather basket weave sheath, in a velvet flocked holder, in its original box. Size: 14 1/4 inches long with a 9 1/2 inch blade.
Massive traditional style bowie knife with coffin handle, steel guard, and escutcheon plate on the wooden grip. The blade is long and well-shaped, with a star and the letters "tg" on the blade and the sheath. The sheath is black leather. All metal parts are chromed. There is a Scottish maker who signs his work with the initials TG, but this most likely is by another maker. Size: 16 inches long with an 11 3/8 inch blade.
Interesting theater type knife with blade that may be cut down from a sword. The mounts are hammered bronze. The grip is wood shaped to the hand. The blade is roughly finished, probably intentionally, and is superbly balanced. The sheath is heavy brown leather. Size: 14 1/4 inches long with a 9 1/4 inch blade.

Condition
The Western bowie is excellent, and nearly new condition, with the original paper wrapper in the sheath. There are two minor spots on the blade from poor storage.
The Case bowie is mint in its original box.
The "tg" knife is excellent.
The theater bowie is very good, but has been given a rough finish intentionally. It is an outstanding fighting knife.
