Four extremely nice knives in styles of the American Frontier, all purchased in the 1990s, but in mint condition in their original boxes and wrappings.
"Santa Fe Hunter" bowie knife with bone grip, no guard, and a bowie knife style blade with a long clipped point. It is with a brown leather sheath of traditional style, with buckskin lacing. The knife is unmarked, but the box is stamped Pakistan. Size: 13 1/2 inches long with an 8 1/2 inch blade.
Huge Gill Hibben designed but made by Unuted Cutlery in China, Western style "original" bowie knife with brass "S" shaped guard, wooden grip, brass guard to the back of the blade, in its original wrappings and box, with a plain brown leather sheath. Size: 20 inches long overall with a 13 3/4 inch blade.
Whitetail Cutlery by Frost Cutlery traditional bowie knife with stag grips, brass guard and pommel, in a plain leather sheath. The mint blade is engraved "First Production Run Limited Edition 1 of 200," as well as being deeply stamped "Whitetail Cutlery." In its original box. Size: 13 1/2 inches long overall with an 8 inch blade.
Traditional style bowie knife in box marked "Antique Bowie," but made in Pakistan in an old-fashioned manner. The knife has a heavy brass cross guard, and wooden coffin shaped grip with brass rivets. The blade is well-shaped, and has Pakistan stamped at the ricasso. Ot comes in its original box with a two-toned leather sheath. Size: 15 inches long overall, with a 10 inch blade.
