A lot consisting of four original pre-WWII photographers featuring portraits of boxers Pete Herman, Tommy Gibbons, Harry Greb, and Mike Gibbons. Each man is posed in similar bare-knuckle fighting stance against a plain white backdrop. With the exception of Greb's portrait, the Boxers' name is also printed along the bottom margin of the photograph. Greb's is handwritten verso.
Dimensions: each photo measures between 8 to 9-inches tall and 5 to 6-inches wide

Condition
Fair to Good vintage condition. Appropriate age and handling wear is visible across each, including overall toning, surface abrasions, and scattered soiling spots. The Herman photo has a notable loss in the upper right corner and white stain towards the lower right side, but neither interfere with the integrity of the portrait. Under blacklight, there are scattered areas of whitish fluorescence across Greb's portrait, however they are less apparent under normal illumination. No damage or restoration was revealed across the other portraits under blacklight. Please see photos.
