A lot consisting of four Native American Kachina dolls, each built on a round wood base, including:

• A 2-inch miniature Hututu doll. This figure is a Zuni kachina who is the warrior rain god of the south and summer. It is housed in a small plastic case. The underside of the base is signed, however some of it is illegible due to glue that once held it down. What can be made out reads, "Hu-Tu-Tu / Zuni."
• A 7-inch Mudhead doll. This figure is a Pueblo kachina who works as disciplinarian, joker, and village cryer. The underside of the base is signed, "F.M. Mudhead / J. Begay."
• A 10.5-inch Black Badger doll. This figure is a powerful Hopi healer and "curing" spirit associated with medicinal herbs & roots. The underside of the base is signed, " Black Badger Kachina / Largo."
• A 14-inch Early Morning doll. This figure is a Hopi katsina representing the dawn, appearing during the Bean Dance on the village rooftops to awaken the community with songs. It is signed on the underside, "Early Morning / By. B.C. Begay."

Overall good condition. The Hututu doll was once glued down inside its plastic case, however it is no longer. The doll remains in good condition. One of the arms on the Black Badger doll is loose at the elbow joint. Please see photos.
