Very interesting Western Cutlery W49 bowie knife and sheath with Western U.S.A.W49 over "C" on the blade. It has the usual polished wood grip and brass guard. The sheath is a variant with Western at the throat, and a steel clip for the belt on the reverse. Size: 14 5/8 inches long with 9 1/4 inch blade. Another Western Cutlery W49 bowie knife with Western U.S.A. W49 and the letter "B" under it. It is in a fitting sheath. It has the usual brass guard and polished wood grip. Size: 14 1/4 inches long with a 9 1/8 inch blade. Copy of a W49, probably made in India, with usual wooden grip, brass guard, in a brown leather sheath. Size: 14 1/2 inches long with a 9 1/2 inch blade. Copy of an Ames Rifleman's knife, Model of 1849 in black leather brass mounted sheath. The knife has a wooden grip, brass mounts. The markings have been ground off of the blade, and the blade has been blued. Size: 17 inches long with a 12 inch blade. Condition

The knives are very good with minor spots and stains on their blades. There are some rust spots on the third knife and the Ames copy has had the markings ground off.
