Five sixth plate tintypes/ferrotypes from about 1880 of working men in a variety of professions, including:
Iceman in shirtsleeves holding a large pair of ice tongs, next to a fence built of twisted branches. He is wearing a sloch hat, with his sleeves rolled (3.5 by 2.25-inches).
A teamster with a girth or other similar strap over his shoulder, seated on a wooden fence. He is wearing a slouch hat, has his sleeves partially rolled up, and has a large handlebar mustache (3.5 by 2-inches).
Two barmen or clerks, wearing waist aprons, one white the other darker cloth, both wearing shirts, vests, and ties (3.5 by 2.5-inches).
Three firemen or conductors wearing flat topped peaked caps and double-breasted jackets with brass buttons, two seated and one standing wearing ribbons on his shirt (3.5 by 2.6-inches).
A well-dressed man in coat, tie, and large-checked pants, holding a small metal implement in one hand that probably suggests his profession. There is also a basin on a table under the implement (3.4 by 2.5-inches).
Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $30.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance. Discounts given on combined lot shipping.
Condition
Fairly Great. The firemen image has a spot on it on the left, and is slightly bent. The fifth image has a sticky surface, but is otherwise great. Please see photos.
