When Americans landed in Oman in 1942, during WWII, he no longer was forced to wear a Jewish star, and at this time his sympathy for Americans grew. He ended up joining the American campaign and was part of General Clarke’s 1st army. He continued to paint during and after the war, and invented his own style of painting known as “Figurasynthese,” which was rooted in balance and philosophy.
