An interesting Colt Model 1878 double action revolver in .44 caliber with 4 3/4 inch barrel, serial number21739, manufactured in 1888. The grips have been replaced with later style walnut grips with a squared off butt, but no alteration has been made to the actual gun. The gun retains its original lanyard ring. Size: 11 inches long overall with a 4 3/4 inch barrel. Shipping: $35.00. About excellent condition overall, other than the incorrect grips, which can easily be replaced with proper ones. The action is tight and functions well, but does not hold on single action. The gun retains most of its original blue, but it it is fading in places. The bore is dark but retains excellent rifling.
