Civil War Union soldier tin type portrait in a patriotic union case. The soldier's buttons, buckles, and sword guard are tinted gold. He is posing holding his sword in one hand with scabbard in the other and has what appears to be an 1858 Remington revolver in his belt.

Condition
Case still closes and snaps. The latch still has a strong hold. The hinges are loose where they mount to the lid but they are holding and the case still hinges nicely. Image has darkened.
