Extremely finely made bronze inkwell on a wooden base in the form of an owl's head with glass eyes. It is very well done with outstanding detail to the feathers and beak. The glass inset is missing, but the hinge works perfectly. The other owls are of various materials, including a smal blackened iron one that was made as a finial; a brass owl attached to a brass ruler; a pewter statuette of an adult owl with a younger owl, marked Pewter, USA; a very fine ceramic painted owl standing on a pile of books marked Great Horned by Andrea; another ceramic owl on a branch. Sizes: The inkwell is 5 inches tall and its wooden base is 8 inches wide. The iron owl is 2 1/4 inches tall; the brass owl is on a foot long ruler and is 2 3/4 inches tall; the pewter owl is 3 inches tall and 2 1/4 wide; the ceramic owl on books is 9 inches tall and 4 1/4 inches wide; the smaller ceramic owl is 6 3/4 tall by 3 3/4 inches wide.. All are excellent. The inkwell is lacking its glass liner.
