late 19th-early 20th century sword of the Toraja people of Sulawezi, Indonesia, known as a penai. Some may call it a pedang. This sword has a blade with damascus / pamor steel. Finely carved Asian water buffalo horn hilt, and carved wooden scabbard.
Dimensions: 17.75" blade, 28.5" long overall.
