18th-19th century Islamic Indo Persian dagger Zirah-bhonk. Hand-forged recurved steel blade with thickened beveled conical point and sharp edge on the concaved back spine of the blade. Fitted with a pair of horn grip-scales. The thickened and beveled point of the blade is used for piercing through the rings of a coat of chain mail. "Zirah bouk or Zirah bonk" translates to 'mail piercer'. Blade has a green/grey color like what is sometimes seen on damascus steel, though it does not appear to have a pattern, likely old bluing.
Dimensions: 9" blade, 13" long overall.
