Usually these are designated as opium pipes, however that is a misidentification to sell them to tourists. These are Chinese tobacco smoking pipes. It could more accurately be called a complete smoking set. The main body is a box in which all the pieces are incorporated. The pipe and water reservoir with removable pipe bowl fits into the container, the other end has the tobacco box (this one still has some in it), in between the two there are small holes to hold utensils, and a protrusion with a hole to attach the pipe to the owners belt.
