He also sent a lesser detailed copy to J. Edgar Hoover in an attempt to demonstrate the quality, and utility of his mold making compound he had developed. This original was later given to Joe Pinkston. My father acquired this mask from Pinkston before his passing in 1996. He was sick and wanted my father to have it."
