An Alaskan Native American coiled lidded basket attributed to Susanna Chamez of Toksook Bay, Alaska. The shape of the basket resembles a barrel and features colorful geometric motifs around the sides, possibly resembling butterflies or dragonflies. This shape and these motifs are common for early to mid 20th-century Alaskan work as woven pieces became collector items for non-Native people.
Dimensions: 9H x 11L x 9W inches with the lid, the bowl is 5.5-inches deep
