Three items: a bronze lamp based on a bronze statue by Charles Pillet, an important French sculptor of the 19th century, who won the Gol Medal of Rome three times, and was a member of the Societe des Artistes.The statue is of a little girl sitting on a chair eating her porridge, with a cat climbing up to beg. The girl is holding her spoon out to drip food for the cat. Behind her and above her is a circle in bronze with leaves and the light. There is a plaque on the front with the title of the piece and artist's name. Size: 15 1/2 inches tall, and 8 inches across.
The second piece is a bronze winged putti who apears to be blowing something out of his hands. It is unmarked. Size: 8 1/4 inches tall and 9 inches wide.
Green marble basin with two putti heads at one end. It is currently filled with glass & stone fruit, but the fruit is easily removable. Size:4 3/4 inches tall and 11 1/2 inches wide.
Condition
The lamp needs to be rewired, but is otherwise excellent. The putti is excellent. The basin is very good with a small stain on one side. The fruit is good.
