A 1970 board game published by Psychology Today and created by U.C. Davis professor Robert Sommer called "Blacks & Whites: The Role Identity & Neighborhood Action Game." It is designed to simulate racial inequality in American society. With a board similar to monopoly, at the start of the game players choose to be White or Black which determines income, opportunities, property ownership, and restrictions during. For example, White players start with $1,000,000 but Black players only $100,000; White players can purchase property anywhere on the board but Black players are bound to integrated and "Ghetto" regions; the opportunity cards are also segregated by race.
