A World War I Iron Cross 2nd Class, three-piece construction with magnetic blackened iron core and silver frame. Obverse with imperial crown above “W†and date “1914.†Reverse shows crowned “FW,†oak leaves, and date “1813.†Suspended from a black-and-white ribbon folded in Austrian style, mounted with an applied veteran’s crown and crossed swords device, and small enamel red cross. The additional crown and swords bar denotes later veteran or commemorative wear.
Dimensions: Cross 1.75 x 1.75 in.; overall height with ribbon 3.25 in.
