Printed in 1556 this set of woodcuts is 464 years old and would have originally been leather bound in a large folio book. Bock is famous for being the first to describe plants and flowers in a systematic way based upon observation. Fair to Good Condition. Some pages have rips and tears. Each of the 138 pages is double sided. One side with text and the adjacent side with text and a print of a plant that is hand colored. Many of the pages have colored plant prints on both sides.
