Large 13" Japanese Shigaraki Pottery Jar/Vase with "Wabi-Sabi" repairs. The Japanese would repair antique pottery rather than to discard it. Wabi-Sabi (侘寂) is the underlying Japanese philosophical concept that celebrates imperfection, impermanence, and the natural cycle of growth and decay.

Condition
One small 1/4" hole on side. Scattered repaired hairline cracks run across the vase's surface repaired with a red putty-like substance. Please see photos.
